Halebank Winter Newsletter
A message from the Chair of the
Halebank Steering Group
Welcome to the Autumn-Winter issue of ‘Halebank Business News’. This issues details some excellent developments made by companies on the estate, I would particularly like to congratulate GE Water & Process Technologies on making reductions to their carbon emissions – a great achievement.
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, the focus for this current year is to improve the appearance and overall image of the estate. Over the next few months, you should start to see a number of image enhancement schemes being implemented across the public areas of the estate, including removing the scruffy areas of public landscaping and replacing it with simple low maintenance schemes.
After the lack of gritting on the estate last winter, it is reassuring to know that if we have another cold winter, Halebank Industrial Estate is now added to the gritting schedule - a great result for the BID!
In addition, the Executive Committee has already agreed that a Business Frontage Charter will soon be rolled out to businesses. Companies will be asked to voluntarily sign up to the Charter and make a commitment to contribute to the visual improvement of Halebank. As a show of support, the Executive Committee members have already signed up to the Charter and hope that as many businesses as possible follow our lead and help to improve Halebank Industrial Estate.
On the security front, Select Security continues to do a good job on the estate and crime appears to be remaining in check. If you haven’t yet signed up for key holding and alarm response, please contact Dave Potts.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know and they can be put forward to the Business Steering Group and Executive Committee for consideration.
