The only choice for Event Security

Select Security are proud to announce that we have been awarded the British Standard BS: 8406 2009 in Crowd Control and Event Stewarding. We are one of the first security companies in the North West to obtain the standard.

This British Standard gives recommendations for the infrastructure, staffing, operation and management of organizations providing stewarding and safety personnel at either indoor or outdoor events.  The standard covers service providers, planning and organization, staffing, and training and development programs.

The standard was awarded following a series of indoor and outdoor events culminating in a full weekend duty at a major sporting event. 

Phil Lowe Select's Training Manager was the coordinator of the award and personally managed several high profile events during the summer. Phil stated: ‘We are very pleased to be awarded the 8406 standard.

We have very experienced staff who have put in a considerable amount of hard work and many hours at major events, often in very tiring circumstances. Our main aim always is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all those who attend’.

Select Staff have also recently undergone NVQ Level 2 training in Event Stewarding and Crowd Control.
