Esene Faimalo

Contracts Support Manager 

Select are pleased to announce that they have appointed Esene Faimalo as Contracts Support Manager. Esene has a extensive security background and operated and run several high profile security contracts in the Manchester area.

In 1985 Esene came second in the New Zealand boxing Heavyweight tournament and also made the Junior Kiwis while playing for the Linwood club. Esene represented Western Samoa at the 1986 Pacific Cup.

A Canterbury representative from the Addington club, Esene also represented the New Zealand Kiwis between 1988 and 1991, playing in five test matches. In1989 he was with the Balmain Tigers as part of the New Zealand Rugby League's "Rookie Scheme".

In 1990 he moved to England, signing with the Widnes Vikings. He played for the club for four seasons before signing with the Leeds Rhinos for the 1994-95 season. He joined the Salford City Reds during the 1996 Super League I season, playing with the club for three years before retiring.
